Our History

Thomas Morris, III started doing business in 1992 as Morris Lawn Maintenance after graduating from Campbell University. He started out by offering basic lawn maintenance services to residential and commercial properties. Glenn Morris, his brother, joined him after graduating from Campbell University in 1995 and together they formed TG Morris Enterprises, Inc.

Once incorporated, the business earned a Class A Contractors license, Pesticide Business License, and became certified by the State to install fertilization, weed control, and lake and pond management onto the properties.

Currently Tom is a Virginia Certified Horticulturist; Glenn is a ICPI Level 1 Certified Paver Installers.

TG Morris Enterprises, Inc. now three divisions: Natures own turf, Virginia Landscapes and Morris Lawn Maintenance. We offer full service lawn maintenance, landscaping and hardscaping services. We design and install landscapes, interlocking concrete and clay paver patios and walkways, as well as custom water gardens. We also provide pruning, mulching, weed control and annual plant color rotation services. We also created our own custom fertilization and weed control program using predominantly organic materials. This organic program is a much healthier approach than the popular synthetic products – Turf Fuel.

As a landscape contractor we deal with other contractors and sub-contractors who provide services in such fields as arboricultural, irrigation, concrete, fencing, decking and outdoor lighting. Our goal is to provide hassle-free service for all of your outdoor maintenance needs.

Virginia Landscapes & Morris Lawn Maintenance's primary service area encompasses the Virginia Peninsula cities of Hampton, Newport News, Poquoson, York County & Williamsburg.

However, we welcome inquiries for commercial and hardscape contracts or projects throughout the Hampton Roads region.
